I’m not good at writing bios, so this one will be pretty short. My name is Sky Flygare, and I should have been a pilot. But I went with game artists instead, It’s much more fun and not likely to get anyone killed.
I’ve been working in the CG industry for about 8 years now. I started out working on a tv show as a 3D modeler. I did that for two years before I made the transition to video games. My first game job was working at Disney Interactive’s Avalanche studio as a World Builder. I worked on many movie tie-in games such as Bolt, Meet the Robinsons, and Chicken Little. And a few non-movie tie-in’s like the Tak series and 25 to Life. After working at Disney for five years I made the transition to indie games and freelance art. I worked as a freelance artist for a year while trying to find the delicate balance between working on projects that pay the bills and finishing personal games. After giving that a go I returned to a studio and that’s where I am today. I’m making awesome games at the Cartoon Network.
So stay tuned! Things are just getting started, I’ll have lots of developer notes, tutorials, news, and project updates to come.
